Hi everyone. Welcome to my blog! My name is Lauren, I’m 19 and from Ireland. I’m an aspiring makeup artist and my goal in life is to become a professional makeup artist. I hope you enjoy my blog and like my posts! Have a lovely day!
Good after noon or good morning where ever you are in the world! I’m currently back from work for today so decided to chill out and write this blog post. I loved doing my last post about penneys hits and misses. I find since I buy lots of penneys makeup and beauty products that I might as well start a series almost like on my blog about all the best and worst things I find while shopping, just to help you guys out because people can be weary about penneys products since they’re so cheap but I love them. I always find that I have more hits than misses but they’re stil fun to do.
Soif you want to see my hits and my misses… then keep on scrolling! Enjoy x
Okay first uphas to be this pressed powder for only €2.50! This has been out for ages but I only got it 2/3 weeks ago because they never had the shade ‘light’ in stock. Which I needed because us Irish people are like ghosts! Especially me. So I heard a few people rave about this so I decided why not try it for €2.50? And I love it! It’s so good for under the eyes and setting concealer it just gives a blurred like effect and makes your skin look flawless! Defiantly stocking up on this!
Next up is a new product that has hit the shelves recently. This is a liquid primer which I thought was so cool because I usually use creams even on clients. What caught my eye was the word ‘hydrates’ which I love because it means this would be perfect for dry skin which I suffer from. This was only €3 and you do get a lot of product because only a little amount sprayed out and it really does help makeup stay on. Defiantly recommend.
Next is another hydrating spray, I just use this anytime like randomly just spray myself when my skin feels dry throughout the day especially being outside with the weather changing a lot now here. It smells so good to, there’s a slight rose smell and it’s lovely for freshening up. As you can see only €2.50 as well! It leaves a really nice glow to your face too.
Next up is this gorgeous deep red super matte liquid lipstick. I almost 100% sure this was €2.50. Even though it says super matte it doesn’t feel very drying it just feels comfortable on the lips and looks stunning. So if you’re looking for a nice red but don’t want to spend a fortune, get this!
I love this! This truely is kiss proof (trust me). It’s a gorgeous dark purple/grey/brown colour I can’t describe it exactly but it’s fab on! This is in the shade ‘shadow’ and was only €4! It’s not drying, like the other one it feels so comfortable and smells like chocolate!
I wasn’t sure about this when I picked it up but I used it for the first time last week and it’s so good. It really helps to brighten up the under eye area and a little goes a long way. This is also great for putting on the lid of your eye before any eyeshadow just to help the shadows blend. Can’t go wrong for €2.50!
Don’t think I ever reviewed or talked about perfume before.. oh well first for everything! This little thing was only €2.50 and it’s so cute! Perfect for having it in your bag or for traveling! Smells so fresh too and they have lots to chose from.
As much as I love this it has to be a miss! This is from the liquid lip kits they are doing and for me it’s a great formula and gorgeous colour but as it dries down it goes orange? I really didn’t like it. It’s nice on for 10 minutes but it just goes more orange as it dries which I was so disappointed about! This came with a lip liner and that’s great! I think they lip kits are €4.
Next up sadly has to be this candy palette. I did a review on this and at the start I really liked it so I tried it again a few days ago and I just thought they colours faded really quick? Now I love the pink highlighter and the champagne eyeshadow but I hated the liquid lipstick! The colour didn’t suit me at all and it didn’t feel nice on my lips, definitely wasn’t the same formula as there other ones! And for €8 I wouldn’t buy it again just for a small highlighter and a smal eyeshadow.
Same thing with this palette as the last one, loved it at the started but I think the pigment faded away or something. I also found when you’re using it you’ve to layer the shadow about 10 times until it even starts showing on the lid. I’d use a few shadows now and again such as the white and blue but for €8 it’s not worth using 2 shades.
Lastly this liquid lipstick. Same formula as the red, and from looking at the package it’s a stunning nude pink but on the lips it’s like a bright peachy colour? Didn’t suit me at all and was really disappointed because I love the colour!
So that’s it from me let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and how they worked for you!
Until next time…
Hi everyone! So today I thought I would do a blog post about this skin care range from Penneys (Primark if you’re not from Ireland). I was in penneys a few days ago and seen all these were reduced to only €1 so for €3 altogether I thought why not try them? The thing that stood out to me about these were the words ‘illuminating, brightening and hydrating’. Now since I have dull, dry skin I thought these were going to be so good for my skin.
So I broke down my opinion on each product so keep scrolling to see my thoughts.
First up is the instant radiance serum. Now I never tried a serum before but my mam is obsessed with them. So I said to myself I’ll try one too but to be honest I still haven’t a clue what a serum is!😂 All I know is it’s suppose to be good for your skin and you apply is before moisturiser. Now this says ‘instant’ which means it should do what it says first try. So after trying it for the first time I can say it did brighten up my skin and give it a glow which I was impressed with and it’s exactly what I needed. Also it smells so good! Leaves your skin feeling so smooth also. So I would give this a 9/10! One mark off because I’d like the formula to be a bit more thicker!
Next up is the moisturiser. I love this! It really does hydrate my skin, leaves it looking glowy and brightens up my skin. Perfect! This also smells like the serum so that’s good. It also leaves the skin feeling so smooth! 10/10!
Lastly, the face mask. Now I love a good facemask I’m obsessed with them! But this one unfortunately didn’t work for me at all. As soon as I applied it, it started burning my face! Not good! So if you have sensitive skin I would not try this! It applied messy and patchy and just would not try down at all even after 15 minutes. It also disappeared on my skin? Which I thought was weird, I’ll insert some pictures down below so you can see how it was on my skin. But I would give this a 1/10 just because it smelled nice!
So as you can see the product just disappeared on my skin? Weird! It acted like a moisturiser more than a face mask! Also it left a really weird colour around where I applied it so I thought it was oil or something coming out I dunno what happened!
So that’s my thoughts on these products! Loved them expect the face mask unfortunately! Let me know if these worked for you!
Keep an eye out for my next Penneys hits and misses part 2 coming soon!😉
Until next time…
Hey everyone! This is like a week over due I’m sorry but it came late and I didn’t get a chance to sit down and do my makeup and see what I thought about these products until today! Also before I start I set up a snapchat account ‘laurenkmakeup’ for reviews, tutorials, giveawaysetc so please add!!
So here’s my opinion!
Take Me on Vacation Palette;
First of, it’s a stunning palette! I absolutely love the colours and how every colour suits eachother. I also love the packaging it’s so classy looking and there isn’t too much going on which I really like!
The pigment of these colours are insane! The shimmers are so pigmented and creamy and apply so nicely on the eye lid. The matte shades blend so beautifully and apply so smoothly but there is a good bit of fall out which I don’t mind! So I would give this palette a 9/10! Also, If you go over to ‘LaurenKellyMakeup’ on Instagram you can see the look I created using this palette.
For some reason I was most excited about this product when she released them. There’s something about a contour palette I just love! In the picture you can see the bronzer/contour shade has some gold shimmer but it comes out matte on the skin which I really liked. There was no fall out at all with this product and I was really impressed! It was very pigmented so you only need a small bit on your brush when applying.
Now the highlight… was… blinding!! So creamy, so so pigmented, so buildable, applies beautifully and a gorgeous golden highlight! But there was fall out, which again I didn’t mind at all, it didn’t bother me I was too shook by how blinding it was!!
So that’s my review I hoped you liked it and make sure to check out the look I created on my Instagram using these two palettes and leave a like and maybe a follow? Thanks! 😊😊
Also, let me know if you managed to get anything from this collection!
Until next time..
So during last week I got a letter in the post and I’ve been waiting over a month for this letter and it was exam results! So anyways I passed everything and I am now officially a qualified makeup artist!! Ah I’m so happy and so excited!! I can’t wait to start working with makeup and having a proper job!
Okay back to the blog, the last 2 weeks has been amazing for me getting makeup stuff! I got 2 new Morphe palettes and a few brushes too. So if you want to see what I got keep scrolling!!:)
Isn’t this so beautiful? I just want to create a big rainbow on my face! The colours are so pretty and so pigmented as you can see by the swatches and I already created 2 new looks using this so follow my Instagram and check them out➡️ LaurenKellyMakeup😊 This cost me only €28 including shipping off cloud10 beauty which is an Irish makeup website that stock Morphe and more brands!
I also got these stunning rose gold makeup brushes. Which I must admit are so good! Any Morphe eye brush is going to be amazing anyways, the contour brush gives you such a straight contour line and blends the powder so nicely and evenly it’s amazing! But with the foundation brush I found it was the same as any other foundation brush with a flat top, the rose gold just makes it so much prettier. I got these off beauty bay. And 3/4 of them were 40% so they only came to €20.
I also got these 3 brushes. Isn’t the gold one so cool looking? I love it! My boyfriend actually got me these along with the palette down below because we were together 2 years yesterday! Isn’t he the best?? Now the middle brush and the gold one blends eyeshadow powders so beautifully! But I must admit, the angled brow brush, I didn’t like at all. I might be using it wrong I don’t know but it just didn’t give me that tiny straight line you’d want to shape your brows. If I got the tip of the brush flag enough it would be amazing but I’ll keep working with it!
Lastly I also got, or should I say my boyfriend got me the stunning limited edition 25B palette! Which I also created a look tonight which is on my Instagram now! As all the Morphe palettes the shimmers are so pigmented and so creamy and easy to apply. The matte shadows blend together so easy and apply so nicely. This was only €24! I’d get this soon before it sells out because it’s stunning even for basic everyday looks or smokey eyes for nighttime.
So that’s everything Morphe I got over the last 2/3 weeks! Stays tuned for a Kylie Cosmetics Vacation review either tomorrow or Monday! But I’m hoping it arrives tomorrow so cross your fingers and say a prayer for me that it arrives tomorrow cause I’ve been waiting over a month!
Until next time…
Good evening everyone! It feels so good to be blogging again I’ve missed it so much! Today’s one is exciting because I added up every single makeup item I own, priced it and added it altogether! This took me roughly a little over an hour to do everything. I am shook at the price to be honest!
Also a few days ago I received the stunning 35B Morphe palette, so if you want to see a Pride inspired makeup look go check out my Instagram ‘LaurenKellyMakeup’. 😊
So if you want to see what makeup items I have, how much each item costs and how much everything costs together then keep on scrolling! Enjoy x

Until next time..
Hey everyone! A lot has happened in the past week, last Tuesday and Wednesday I did my final makeup exams! I think they went really well in my opinion. I just have to wait for my results to come and hopefully I’ll pass them.
Anyways as you can tell by the title I will be reviewing the brand now cotton candy Primark makeup collection. Can I just say that the packaging is so stunning? Anything pink I’m immediately drawn to! I didn’t get the whole collection so this is part 1, hopefully part 2 will be up next weekend!
So let’s get into it!
This palette is everything! The first 2 swatches are the round highlighters, the pink one has me shook to be honest it’s so pigmented. Also the 3 Eyeshadows feel so creamy and buttery and so smooth. I can’t wait to play with this honestly! I also love the mini liquid lipstick you get I love the colour! Again so pigmented and such a pretty colour. This was €8.
Next is this really deep brown matte lipstick. It has a red undertone but looks so cool. I’ve been obsessed with brown lipsticks lately! Like all the PS lipsticks this is so pigmented and creamy and feels so comfortable on the lips. This was only €2.50.
This is probably my favourite from everything, this eye shadow pigment is so pretty and pink and girly I love it! It was hard to get a picture of the swatch but you can kind of see it and I’m in love honestly. This was €2.50.
So that’s everything I got from the collection I only picked up a few stuff incase I didn’t like anything but so far I’m highly impressed and will 100% be getting the rest of the collection and more of that pigment to stock up!
Penneys makeup is so underrated, it’s so affordable, so creative and there’s lots of stuff to chose from. If you haven’t tried anything you need to honestly the quality is so good for the price. I’m obsessed with the range!
Until next time…
Hey everyone! I’m baaaack! So sorry I haven’t posted in ages but last week I went on holidays and only came back yesterday night! And before that I had no time to post because I was so busy with my makeup course and doing my portfolio!
Anyways while I was on holidays in Lanzarote I pretty much spent my money on makeup. This Haul will range from brands such as Mac, Kiko, Urban Decay and the Jeffree Star and Manny Mua collection! So keep scrolling to see what I got!
So let’s start with lip stuff. First up are these 3 lipsticks from Mac. (From left to right) Pretty Please, Persistance and Ruby Roo. These were €17 in Duty Free in Dublin, usually they are €20 each. My favourite would be Pretty Please simply because it’s a really pretty pearl pink with a pretty shimmer effect. I was disappointed with Ruby Roo it seemed like there was a huge hype about it but as you can see in the picture it wasn’t that pigmented or creamy unlike Pretty Please or Persistence. Don’t get me wrong the colour is the perfect red but it didn’t live up to the expectations.
Last of the lip stuff are these Kiko lipsticks in the shade 419 and 401. I got these in a Kiko shop in Lanzarote, I never heard of the brand but I picked up a few things to try and so far I’m really impressed with everything. These lipsticks are super creamy and feel so nice on the lips. These were only €4 also!
Next up are a few eye stuff. The white is a Kajal eye pencil, the blue is a liquid eyeliner, isn’t it stunning? I can’t wait to do a wing with it! Follow me on Instagram to see if I do ‘LaurenKellyMakeup’. Lastly the pink is a lip liner which is really creamy and pigmented. All these were only around €3.
(From left to right), the first 2 and mascaras, the 3rd is a silver glitter mascara which is so stunning and would be great for a festival look. Last is just a silver glitter eyeliner for only €3/€4, which is so pretty and so affordable. The mascaras were around €5 each.
Next is something you’re all familiar with. The urban decay setting spray and Mac prep and prime. The setting spray was €21, I haven’t tried it yet but I’m hoping it’s great. The travel size prep and prime was only €10 and smells amazing. This isn’t a setting spray it’s just to prepare your face and when you’re done makeup it’s just to make your makeup pop out more and freshen it up.
Lastly, is the gorgeous Jeffree Star and Manny Mua collection. I’m sure you know the same but if you don’t the highlighter is called Eclipse and the liquid lipstick Daddy. The highlight is a beautiful icy peach and was €30 and I got it off beauty bay along with Daddy which was €19 and it’s a really pretty cool brown colour.
So that’s everything I got the past week I can’t wait to try everything on my face! Also I don’t think I’ll be posting makeup looks on this anymore, any makeup looks you want to see will be on my makeup page on Instagram which is ‘LaurenKellyMakeup’ and I post makeup looks around 1 or 2 times a week.
Also if you have Twitter I set up a page and I’ll be tweeting all blog posts and when I’ll be uploading a blog etc. “LaurenKelMakeup” so make sure you follow me for updates on my blog!
Until next time…
