March Favourites!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while… as usual! So I had a lot of new products at the start of March and loved them throughout the month and here we are! So let’s just get into it shall we?

First up is this makeup remover I got from Beauty Bay, for €7.50. I usually use the pink Garnier micellar water but I noticed it really dried out my skin and caused a rash around my cheeks which caused them to be so red the whole time. So I tried this and loved it! Not only does it melt your makeup off it leaves such a soft, hydrating feeling on my skin. It also calmed down my redness too which was great! Would highly recommend! It also smells amazing!

Next up is this face wash I got from Boots. I was really hesitant about this product because the last time I tried a ‘Simple’ product I was allergic. But I said I’d give this a try, it was on sale for €3 so I don’t know the original price. But it’s so good if you have dehydrated skin. Leaves your skin with a healthy glow and feels and looks healthy and hydrated.

So this is a moisturiser I got on Beauty Bay, it basically is suppose to smooth out the texture of your skin. It is pricey, it’s over €20 but so worth it! I’ve been using this right after my Simple face wash throughout the month and my skin on my face changed a lot! It’s more hydrated, more smooth and just looks healthier!

If you’re looking for brushes to do a smokey eye.. these are them! So unreal! I got them because all the big YouTubers rave about these eg MannyMua, James Charles. They’re all definitely €8 or under, so they’re so affordable and such good quality (obviously it’s Morphe).

Next up, it’s this brush cleaner. I got this on the morphe EU website for only €10. It’s amazing! Cleans brushes so quickly and leaves them feels so soft. One thing I do have to say, if your brush has glitter it takes a while for the glitter to come off the brush and also the glitter sticks to the actual soap so takes a while for that to remove too but other than that, unreal.

If you haven’t tried SoSu lashes yet, wya? This style is definitely my favourite that I’ve tried. They look so fluttery and completes every kind of eye look! For only €6 you can reuse them again and again! You can find these in Penney’s/Primark. So so amazing.

So I’ve been using these 2 products together for the past month and I’m obsessed! These two together make my brows look so fluffy and really nice. I usually use the ABH brow promade but I just wanted to try something different and I love! The brow pencil is around €21 and the gel mascara around €4.

How amazing do these look? I put them on last Friday and they’re still going strong on my nails. For only €4.50 you can have nails that could pass for €20 nails. So so pretty. From Penney’s/Primark.

So obviously this isn’t a product but I watched this Series in about 3 days. It’s new on Netflix and it’s so good! Got me hooked straight away! It’s about a girl called Mickey who’s a recovering sex/love addict and an alcoholic and a guy called Gus who’s teaching on a movie set but wants to makes movies but has a difficult time doing so. It’s basically a love story about them two and they go through lots of struggles but it’s honestly so funny and really entertaining as well.

So that’s everything for this March favourites! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products or watched ‘Love’.

New L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Shampoo// First impressions/Review!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a really good 2018 so far! So I’ve been MIA for nearly 2 months now simply because I hadn’t a clue what to blog about! I don’t want to fill your feed with boring content and I don’t want to upload a blog for the sake of having something up. BUT..

I recently seen this shampoo on snapchat from one of my local chemist/pharmacy/drug store and what caught my eye is ‘Dream Lengths’. Now, I’m the type of girl who wants really long, shiny, soft hair. Also, whenever I see a new shampoo out that I feel like it would be good for my hair, I need to have it. Also, it’s L’Oreal, my favourite shampoo brand! No other brand can make my hair feel good like a L’Oreal shampoo!

Now, I’ve been struggling with my hair the past few weeks. I was using a shampoo that wasn’t L’Oreal (not sure why I changed, probably was on sale), and it was good at the start and when I got my second bottle my hair just got greasy from it? Even after blow drying my hair was greasy and felt horrible. So I needed a new shampoo!

So I bought it for €3.70, not sure if that was sale price or the original but I thought it was a good price because the bottle is actually huge, like look at it compared to my hand. This will last me ages, which I love!

So I came home and read the back⬇️⬇️

If this isn’t everything I need in a bottle.. then I’m at a loss. My hair is nearly at the end of my back and I have balayage which dried out my hair a lot! I have split ends, they’re dry, I’ve no shine and my hair just feels dead and boring!

So I tried this that night and even washing my hair when it was wet I knew this was a good shampoo, even though my hair was wet I could feel that it was clean and I could tell my hair is going to feel so nice and soft.

So I left my hair in a towel for about an hour while I practised makeup. I started to brush it and my hair takes about 10-15 to brush after the shower because it does be so knotty. It took me not even 5 mins, the brush glided through my hair. Also when blow drying it, it usually takes me 15-20 mins to dry it fully, it took me 10 mins. How amazing! The ends of my hair felt so soft! It was like I just got a hair cut and got my split ends off but I didn’t! It felt so soft and looked so shiny and left an amazing smell even after blow drying it!

Honestly girls if your hair feels dead, has split ends and needs a boost, get this! So affordable, huge bottle and a life saver for me!

Let me know if you’ve tried this or are going to!

Until next time..

Birthday Makeup Haul!

Good evening everybody! Yes I’m late with this.. as usual. I know. I’m sorry! But things arrived late, I had last minutes purchases that I wanted to include but we’re here now! Phew! So my birthday was 10th November and I wanted to treat myself.. a lot. So let’s just get right into this shall we? (Didn’t include pictures of each item individually, because this post would be a mile long!)

The Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette;

The most wanted palette of 2017 I’m guessing! Finally got my hands on this beauty. It cost over €50 from beauty bay and I really wanted it for ages so I bought it for my birthday!! Really treated my self this year. I love this so much! Great pigment and blends beautifully!

Morphe 3502;

Have you caught on that I love Morphe? No? Okay. So this is one of the new palettes they released. I was waiting weeks for beauty bay to stock this but then Morphe announced they have a UK website! No more customs! Yayyy!! So on Black Friday they had 25% off on there website so I basically got free shipping! €28 was not a bad price considering it has 35 unreal shades, great pigmentation and blends like a dream. And do you see the black? Honestly comes out like liner and no fallout! Shook.

Morphe 15D;

The newest member of the Morphe family and my collection (coming soon😏). I think this is so handy for travelling! 15 stunning shades and it’ll fit so snug in your makeup bag! €17. Can’t go wrong! Also this arrived yesterday so I haven’t tried it out yet!

Mac studio fix foundation;

Check out my last post for my thoughts! Love this!

Strobe cream;

Now if you’re reading my posts a while you’ll know I’ve very dry skin. Coming into the winter I need my hydration! So this is so soothing and hydrating on the skin especially when I’m using my Mac foundation since it’s a Matt formula. This is a travel size, €10!

I got this off Browne Thomas website simply because I could not find it in the store anywhere! I got the shade Blankety and it’s a really soft pink nude! So comfortable on the lips. I don’t think it’s a Matt? I can’t remember! €20.

Light Hoola Bronzer;

You need this if you’re a milk bottle like me. I struggled so much finding the right bronzer for me. Because I’m so pale they all looked orange on my skin. Coming into winter I didn’t want to look really bronzed so this is great! Doesn’t give off too much of a bronze look but enough to give shape to your face which is what I love in winter! Can’t remember the price, between €20-30.

Precisely, my brow pencil;

I’ve been loving this lately! So easy when you don’t want mad dark brows. I just run this threw my brow so give it shape and colour. Use this mostly going to work. Around €20.

This is one of inglots many diy palettes they do. I got the 4 slot one (€12) and so far I have a bronzer (€10)and a highlight(€10). I mostly use this on clients and will fill the other 2 slots with a cool toned bronzer and a blush. So handy instead of carrying around 4 things on your kit.

Sparkle dust;

You honestly need one of these. I believe they are €20 and come in 6 shades. I have 01 and it like a rose gold really fine loose and light glitter. This can be used on the eyes, face and body. Love this for inner highlight on my eyes! Blinding for highlight and stunning for the eyes! A must in any kit!

Jeffree Star;

I looove his liquid lipsticks! I have 6 so far and they are all so comfortable on the lips, dries Matt but still feel so light! This month I got Red Rum, a stunning true red, Celebrity Skin, a cool nude, Mannequin a little darker but stunning, and Drug Lord, a pure white, perfect for lightening colours or liner.

So blinding! Around €15 I think. I got it off beauty bay and I love it! Always use this when I’m wearing orange and golds on the eyes.

Lip topper;

Wanted it, needed it so I got it! Around €15 again and this goes with any colour on the lips! So glittery, shiny, not sticky and so comfortable to wear.

Random bits and pieces;

Nyx liner;

Always wanted this liner! Was sold out in the shop so I got this along with my benefit stuff off cult beauty. Around €8. So affordable! It is difficult to work with. I would rather use Jeffrees liquid lipstick but I still use it!

Ofra Highlighter;

I believe this is Nikkie Tutorials highlight in ‘glazed doughnut’. Around €30 on beauty bay. Honestly, this is so intense and so blinding. When you see her using it on her channel it isn’t photo shop or the camera doing it it’s honestly crazy how blinding this is. Well worth €30!

La Girl Concealer;

This is my 2nd tube of this stuff. I mostly use it on clients because it’s too dark for my skin. But I would use it on myself for cut creases or carving out my brow. Around €5 on beauty bay. So affordable! And build able coverage.

Congratulations if you’ve made it this far! Honestly don’t expect anyone to read every word but if you did thank you so so much! I don’t always spent this much money on makeup but I’ve wanted all these for so long and it was my birthday month and maybe I did go over board but who cares! You only turn 20 once! 😉

Tips on how to wear Mac Studio Fix with dry/flaky skin!

Good evening everyone! It’s been a while… how is everyone doing?

So the 10th of November was my birthday, the following day I went shopping in Dublin for makeup. I bought this beauty for €30, and let me just say to buy the pump it’s an extra €10… if you’re buying a foundation that much it should have a pump..just saying. Anyways! I went to wear it and it was a disaster… I got the shade nw10 which is a pink/cool toned shade and I’m used to warm toned. My concealer is also yellow/warm toned so there was pink and yellow tones all on my face… attractive. But… that’s not the worst part. It was cakey, it showed every dry patch on my face, it built up around my chin and nose and it was just a mess on my face!

So I gave it a second chance trying some things out before applying and it worked wonders. These tips made the foundation settle so flawless on my skin! My favourite foundation at the moment!

So if you have dry, flaky skin like me or just can’t wear a matte foundation… you better keep reading!

1. Prepare your skin!

This is probably the most important step applying any foundation! You need to have a clean face! Always!

A trick I use is to wet your hands, grab some brown or white sugar and massage your face. Now don’t scrub your face just gently, you don’t want to damage your skin! Honestly it sounds weird but this instantly removes all dry, dead and flaky skin. It leaves your skin so smooth and even and foundation ready! I do this either the night before I’m going to wear makeup or in the morning on the day of, it’s up to you.

Remove with warm water so it dissolves away and wash your face with a hydrating face wash, or which ever works best with you! Follow up with some toning and moisturising and you’re all good to go!

2. Primer/Strobing

So about 5/10 mins I would start priming or strobing my face. What worked best I found is a hydrating primer, either cream or a spray. Prep and prime by Mac works, or the illuminating primer by Catrice which is only €6! Or whichever one you use!

Placing some strobe cream where you get dry patches works wonders too!

After that, you’re set! I use my real techniques beauty sponge to apply this foundation which works best for me. You might use a brush which is fine!

Let me know if any of these tricks work! It doesn’t have to be this exact foundation, it can be any that’s making your face look dry!

Just pointing out that these tricks work wonders for me, it mightn’t be for everyone but maybe for some it might!

Also, after the 25th of November I will have a blog about all the make I got in November, which includes brands.. Mac, inglot, Kat Von D, Nyx, Jeffree Star, Morphe, Benefit and more!(maybe) 😏

So that’s all for me hope you enjoyed, again let me know if they worked!

Until next time…

New Garnier SkinActive- Honey Flower //Review!

Good after noon everyone! It’s almost 9pm here in Ireland and I just cleaned my face and thought I’d to a little review on some skin care products I recently bought. So I’ve been using these for about 3 months now and it’s my favourite skin care range I have ever tried! If you suffer from dry skin this is perfect for you!

Face wash;

The face wash is so refreshing and immediately after using it you can tell it worked. My face looked so much cleaner, healthier and more hydrated and felt amazing! Also, this range smells amazing! Just like honey!

This is so good if you’re in a rush and don’t have time to use the face wash. It’s so creamy and isn’t heavy on the face at all and leaves your skin feeling so smooth and hydrated. I would recommend shaking the bottle before every use. Also, a little goes a long way!

I love this! Probably my favourite product from this range. You only need a tiny drop of this and it’ll do your whole face! After using it you get a sticky feeling on your face so when you use moisturiser it’ll definitely stick and last all day! Also great before applying makeup! I’ve noticed such a huge difference with my skin! It’s less bumpy and it’s almost always smooth!

This moisturiser is amazing! It is a little thick but you can’t feel it on your face at all! It soaks right in and leaves your face so smooth, glowing and hydrated!

I’m honestly not sure if the wipes belong to this range but the packaging is the same and it smells the same but these are so handy for refreshing your face during the day and giving it a little clean! They also leave a really nice glow and feel to the skin too!
Well there you guys go! Everything in this range is under €6 each and is currently on sale in Boots! So if you’re looking for some new skin care I would highly recommend this range! So affordable, so good and smells amazing!

Let me know if you have used any of these and did they work for you??

Until next time…

Disappointing MAC products!

Good afternoon everybody! Sorry it’s been a whole month! I just haven’t had a clue what to post! I don’t want to be them bloggers who post about 3/4 times a week with small boring blogs I want to post whenever I have something good to blog about even if it’s a few weeks or sometimes I could have 2 really good posts in a week.. you can never know with me!

Anyways I’ve always wanted to buy Mac but never had the money so when the chance came I bought some things that looked good and everyone loved obviously! But they were probably even definitely the worst products I ever bought! Just keep scrolling and you’ll see what I’m talking about… ☹️😪

Okay first up, probably one of the most loved red lipstick out there! But for me.. nope! As you can see the swatch is so dry looking, so blotchy and uneven! For €17 I was gutted! Also look how creamy the essence lipstick is for only less than €3! Perfect dupe!

Next up, what I thought would be a gorgeous highlighter was the worst sadly! I wanted to love this so much but it’s so chalky and powdery and there’s no pigment at all! I would of taken a pic of a swatch but nothing came up on my hand! This was over €30 and it’s just sitting in my drawer.. if I’m using it wrong or if it works for anyone please tell me!

Lastly is one of there x9 palette. It looks stunning, the colours are fab and it’s so cute for travelling but it’s the size of my palm and for €40 for a tiny thing with 0 pigment.. I’m lost for words. How can they bring out a tiny €40 palette with no pigment? How can they be happy with putting this on the shelve selling it to be people? I’m shook. Never been more disappointed!

So there you guys go! Now I didn’t make this to bash Mac! Some of there stuff I love! I have lipsticks that are unreal, I have glosses and primers. I’m just telling you guys as a heads up what didn’t work for me so you’ll know what to buy/what not to buy!

If any of these worked for you let me know!

Until next time…

Penneys/Primark Hits&Misses! Part 2,

Good after noon or good morning where ever you are in the world! I’m currently back from work for today so decided to chill out and write this blog post. I loved doing my  last post about penneys hits and misses. I find since I buy lots of penneys makeup and beauty products that I might as well start a series almost like on my blog about  all the best and worst things I find while shopping, just to help you guys out because people can be weary about penneys products since they’re so cheap but I love them. I always find that I have more hits than misses but they’re stil fun to do.

Soif you want to see my hits and my misses… then keep on scrolling! Enjoy x

Okay first uphas to be this pressed powder for only €2.50! This has been out for ages but I only got it 2/3 weeks ago because they never had the shade ‘light’ in stock. Which I needed because us Irish people are like ghosts! Especially me. So I heard a few people rave about this so I decided why not try it for €2.50? And I love it! It’s so good for under the eyes and setting concealer it just gives a blurred like effect and makes your skin look flawless! Defiantly stocking up on this!

Next up is a new product that has hit the shelves recently. This is a liquid primer which I thought was so cool because I usually use creams even on clients. What caught my eye was the word ‘hydrates’ which I love because it means this would be perfect for dry skin which I suffer from. This was only €3 and you do get a lot of product because only a little amount sprayed out and it really does help makeup stay on. Defiantly recommend.

Next is another hydrating spray, I just use this anytime like randomly just spray myself when my skin feels dry throughout the day especially being outside with the weather changing a lot now here. It smells so good to, there’s a slight rose smell and it’s lovely for freshening up. As you can see only €2.50 as well! It leaves a really nice glow to your face too.

Next up is this gorgeous deep red super matte liquid lipstick. I almost 100% sure this was €2.50. Even though it says super matte it doesn’t feel very drying it just feels comfortable on the lips and looks stunning. So if you’re looking for a nice red but don’t want to spend a fortune, get this!

I love this! This truely is kiss proof (trust me). It’s a gorgeous dark purple/grey/brown colour I can’t describe it exactly but it’s fab on! This is in the shade ‘shadow’ and was only €4! It’s not drying, like the other one it feels so comfortable and smells like chocolate!

I wasn’t sure about this when I picked it up but I used it for the first time last week and it’s so good. It really helps to brighten up the under eye area and a little goes a long way. This is also great for putting on the lid of your eye before any eyeshadow just to help the shadows blend. Can’t go wrong for €2.50!

Don’t think I ever reviewed or talked about perfume before.. oh well first for everything! This little thing was only €2.50 and it’s so cute! Perfect for having it in your bag or for traveling! Smells so fresh too and they have lots to chose from.

Last thing for my hits are these stunning loose pigments! So shimmery and so pretty for highlight or on the lid. Only €2.50 each!

As much as I love this it has to be a miss! This is from the liquid lip kits they are doing and for me it’s a great formula and gorgeous colour but as it dries down it goes orange? I really didn’t like it. It’s nice on for 10 minutes but it just goes more orange as it dries which I was so disappointed about! This came with a lip liner and that’s great! I think they lip kits are €4.

Next up sadly has to be this candy palette. I did a review on this and at the start I really liked it so I tried it again a few days ago and I just thought they colours faded really quick? Now I love the pink highlighter and the champagne eyeshadow but I hated the liquid lipstick! The colour didn’t suit me at all and it didn’t feel nice on my lips, definitely wasn’t the same formula as there other ones! And for €8 I wouldn’t buy it again just for a small highlighter and a smal eyeshadow.

Same thing with this palette as the last one, loved it at the started but I think the pigment faded away or something. I also found when you’re using it you’ve to layer the shadow about 10 times until it even starts showing on the lid. I’d use a few shadows now and again such as the white and blue but for €8 it’s not worth using 2 shades.

Lastly this liquid lipstick. Same formula as the red, and from looking  at the package it’s a stunning  nude pink but on the lips it’s like a bright peachy colour? Didn’t suit me at all and was really disappointed because I love the colour!

So that’s it from me let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and  how they worked for you!

Until next time…

Lauren xx
